Our Kitchens 

The NC-NIK is comprised of incubator kitchens from across the state of North Carolina. Each NC-NIK kitchen is different - from urban to rural, from large to small. But we all share the common goals of helping entrepreneurs grow food-based businesses.

Center for Agricultural and Food Entrepreneurship's mission is to provide infrastructure and technical assistance to enable small businesses entering the marketplace with safe and wholesome foods and natural products, thereby assisting in the creation of new businesses, new jobs, and new revenues for the region.

Brunswick Community College provides opportunities for individuals to be successful through accessible, high quality, student-centered programs and services that meet the educational, cultural and workforce needs of a diverse community.

the Beta Verde Kitchen is a modest Department of Agriculture certified kitchen space fulfilling the need of a few food entrepreneurs who need space to test their culinary ideas and produce on a small scale in a very affordable place.

The Burgaw Incubator Kitchen (BIK) is a shared-use commercial kitchen facility located in the historic Burgaw Depot. BIK provides Pender County Health Department and NC Department of Agriculture approved kitchen space and equipment to specialty-food makers. This helps offset many of the start-up costs for culinary businesses.

Caswell Foods

Caswell Inspected Community Kitchen is a resource for anyone in the community to produce preserves and baked goods for sale and to learn about proper handling and preparation of food.

Repurposed from a small grocery market into a dynamic food and community space that opened in the spring of 2021, The Burlington Food Hall makes its home on the southern end of Front Street in downtown Burlington, North Carolina.

Out of the Garden Project has the space and support to help you turn your recipes into market ready products. We know that starting a food business comes with many expenses, and hope our shared-use kitchen can create access and economic opportunity for our neighbors in Guilford County. 

Block Eatz is a food hall incubator aimed at supporting local food entrepreneurs with marketing, entrepreneur training and a high traffic retail environment to strengthen their ventures. Block Eatz helps local and diverse owned businesses lower their start-up costs and provides a more predictable foot traffic pattern.

The Thomas Entrepreneurship Hub serves the community by helping start-ups and small businesses start and grow into successful companies.

The JSCC ECFV Incubator Kitchen significantly reduces the required startup costs while providing all of the necessary commercial equipment that meets or exceeds all government agencies’ requirements. Reducing these fixed costs dramatically increases the business’s probability of success.

At WE Power Food, we're dedicated to nurturing the aspirations of women food entrepreneurs. Our mission is to significantly increase the number of women-owned, food-focused businesses that find success. We're committed to equipping women with the essential resources and tools they need to not only launch but also thrive in their culinary ventures.

The purpose of Cowee School Arts & Heritage Center is to promote the teaching and preservation of the cultural and artistic heritage of the Southern Appalachians and Cherokee people and to serve as a community resource and gathering place.

 To The Brim is dedicated to enriching the lives of Southwest Virginians through a blend of culinary initiatives, educational experiences, and sustainable practices, crafting a vibrant tapestry of local culture and a physical space that leaves people full – To The Brim. Currently in the development stage, To The Brim's first project is to construct a teaching commissary in Abingdon, Virginia.
