Blue Ridge Food Venture’s mission is to provide infrastructure and technical assistance to enable small businesses entering the marketplace with safe and wholesome foods and natural products, thereby assisting in the creation of new businesses, new jobs, and new revenues for the region.

The Burgaw Incubator Kitchen (BIK) is a shared-use commercial kitchen facility located in the historic Burgaw Depot.  BIK provides Pender County Health Department and NC Department of Agriculture approved kitchen space and equipment to specialty-food makers.  This helps offset many of the start-up costs for culinary businesses.

Our shared use kitchen facility is for rent by the hour, week, or month to the culinary entrepreneur community- serving restaurant owners, private chefs, food truck vendors, beginning farmers, home based bakers and producers, private instructors or demonstrators, and individuals who are seeking culinary arts classes.

Caswell Inspected Community Kitchen is a resource for anyone in the community to produce preserves and baked goods for sale and to learn about proper handling and preparation of food.

Women’s Business Center of Fayetteville is a program of CEED (Center for Economic Empowerment & Development), funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Small Business Administration (SBA).

The renovated old school cafeteria kitchen facility offers a new commercial kitchen that is available for public use. It is an NCDA inspected and Sanitation Graded facility featuring modern kitchen equipment and cooler or dry storage space. The kitchen may be used to prepare food for personal use, retail sale or catering purposes, make value-added agricultural products, teach or take a class, host your own party or a variety of other purposes.

The Thomas Entrepreneurship Hub helps start-ups and small businesses whether in the early stages of ideation, simulation, and prototyping, or later stages of strategic planning and execution.

 

The Thomas Entrepreneurship Hub is also dedicated to developing an entrepreneurial ecosystem in southeastern North Carolina and to creating an environment of growth and prosperity in the local community.

The High Country Commercial Kitchen is located at Ashe Family Central (626 Ashe Central School Road, Jefferson, NC) to the left of the main building.

Piedmont Food Processing Center is a NC non-profit providing management services to shared kitchens across the state. We are based at the Orange County, NC facility which was established in 2011 as a joint project between Alamance, Chatham, Durham, and Orange counties. We are grateful for our many partners and supporters in this effort.

The Center for Economic Empowerment & Development (CEED), formerly known as the Women’s Center of Fayetteville, was founded May 20th, 1990 as the result of the vision and determination of a small group of Fayetteville women who recognized the demand for a facility where the information on community services could be collected and distributed to our community.

N.C. Cooperative Extension of Madison County’s new Gladiator freestanding shelving units (all six!) have been assembled and are ready for monthly rental in our Value Added Center. Each unit holds up to 2,000 lbs.
